Concert of Hope..

[I will write about elishas 1st bday after this post]

Being a part of a music ministry, I love choral music. Honestly when i watch a choir sing i envision how the choir I am in can do that hymn or song...and ofcourse its my dream so ofcourse it will always be good :)

But today I attended a choir that did not let my mind wander off anywhere..I was transported to the jungles of Africa..I was amongst the tribes..Part of a joyous celebration :)

What am i talking about?? WATOTO Childrens Choir..Liz and Keith told us about this choir and that they were performing today..Praveen and me are really tired..but somehow i knew we had to be there...And I thank god for letting us go and hearing these kids..

Watoto Kids are orphaned kids of Uganda, Africa..and they live in Villages created for them..They have foster mum who takes care of 7-8kids..The kids in the choir travel around the world telling their story and how they are truly blessed now..Orphaned and left with no hope...they now have a home..a family..education and a future..

Elisha was soo excited to hear them..Dont know if it was the music..The rhythm..The energy..The clapping or The dancing..she was soooo thrilled and enjoyed every minute of it..

Happy 1st Birthday Elisha

Its been a wholeeeeee year...and now my little princess is a year old..


Time surely does fly fast when you have fun..ofcourse there were days when u wished time would move a little faster...but overall it was GREAT!!


Last year at 2.29pm Elisha was born..We couldnt believe it that we were parents...and now its been a whole year!!


She has been great...i was truly blessed with the fact that after she was a month old..she slept through the night...[am goin to jinx myself coz i am sure the next baby is going to make my life miserable!!]


She has been a gooood eater...much to my annoyance coz she wants everything i put in my mouth...so bad that now i have to hide n drink my coffee or wine...argh..


She reached all her developmental milestones on time...good job elisha :) She is walking like a professional now...no more drunken sailor about to throw up walk..


She has 8 teeth..while this is the norm..my neice has 2 and she is 14 mths old...


She has a small vocab..says hello[with phone held up near her ear]..dadda..mamma..hiii...yes..no[uses it tooo well]..and her latest..Vava [means baby in my language]...too cute...she also gives flying kisses...not to everybody though


She is a true girl...loves her bling and loves to yap..just like her mother...and for a change praveen will agree...


She loveees to talk on the phone with annie..theres no body else who can entertain her the way annie does over the phone...


Theres so much more i can go on about...but to sum it up...the last year has truly been the most rewarding and taxing year of my life...i love being a mum..and i truly love having Elisha as my daughter..

Much awaited...Praveens 30th bday bash

Well tired of waiting for mr.miller to send me the picts...so i am going ahead and posting the blog..it was written agessss ago...here goes!!!

Yes my middle name is Procrastination..good morning if you just realised it :)

Okie let me give you the flashback story..

End of January I created an email id for Praveens 30th bday..If i hadnt done that then the cat would have been out of the bag a long time ago :)

I started by emailing all his friends who were not in australia, outlining my plan and asking if they could come..a couple said yes..but as the date came around that got postponed and they will be here in a couple of weeks time...well..all the more reason to celebrate..

Praveen has been going on n on n on n on about how he was turning 30 and how it had to be special n blah blah blah...oh god..and this started before he turned 29..yes i had to suffer for more than a year..but i would keep telling him off...and that theres no way i am going to do anything hehehe...wicked me yes!

Then sometime in april i decided to ask all his friends n family to contribute towards buying him a new Camera..His dream.. Nikon D300 ..and as luck would have it...EVERYBODY i asked contributed...THANK YOU ALL..for it meant heaps to him and me...you guys r simply the best!!! :)

I talked Ajay [friend at whose house we hosted the party at] to invite everyone for some party..well everyone knew this was a decoy..hehehe...

The day of his actual bday..and a couple of days before that..each time someone would call n say they r dropping in..he would get all excited thinkin it was his surprise party...heheheh...and when they would leave..he would get soooo damn upset...this is exactly why i planned his party 2 weeks after his bday...coz he was expecting it..yes i am evil...hahaha..

Week before the surprise...i was having nightmares and anxiety..mmmm..and reallllyyyyy i just couldnt keep it in me for this long now...

The day of the party...i managed to get elisha ready rreaaalllyyy late...coz they wanted more time...and then there was a lot of requests from friends to get drinks and chips...god praveen was very close to losing the plot...but him being the quiet gentle types just went with the flow..

At Ajays place..everyone was waiting...n then Praveen walked through the door...His face..oh god was worth a watch...hehehhe for two minutes he thought that they were throwing a surprise babyshower...erm crazy i know..then he saw the 30th balloons n banner...n then it hit him....it was HIS SURPRISE 30th BDAY PARTY..wooohoooo...

He was like a little kiddddd...sooo excited...n the cake..then came the gift...sadly the actual gift was a day late...so we printed out the order form and gave it to him...when he saw that...he got blooodddyyy emotional... :) the next day he mentioned it to miller n me that if the camera was there..he would have cried...

and ofcourse when its a happy occasion..one must get drunk...after a few drinks came the birthday bumps and then some cake smashing...and some more drinks..

Thank you one and all for making this special...Thanks for all the contribution and all the help...I dont think i could have pulled it off by myself..It wouldnt have been possible if it wasnt a teamwork..Thanks..from the bottom of my heart...

While i wrote all the good things...i have to mention this as well..and if the person who did it is reading this...you are evil..and what you did was absolutely wrong and hurtful..may that guilt in you never go away!!!!

why i say this??? 2 days before the bday..Snoopy[friend] calls me and goes..rosie..what the hell did u do...i was like..what...and then he proceeds to tell me that the mail i had sent a group of people a couple of days ago...was sent again and this time Praveens office id was included...I DIED..i just didnt know what to do...i wanted to throw up sooo bloody badly...i mean the party is in 2 days...why did they do this?

So i quickly went to Praveens Laptop and THANKGOD that email went into his junk..and junk emails dont go to his Blackberry...whoever sent this knew that Praveen being a blackberry junkie would always check his email...I immediately deleted that email...and then blocked all possible ids from his account for 2 days...

While we all thought someone hacked into my account and did it...no that wasnt what happened...Lets call the person who did this..FUCKINGPRICK..they went and created an email id..Similar to mine..i created itstomys30 and they created itstomys30...and sent the email again...but not just email..they added CAMERA in bold and red too..while my email said.."lets give him the surprise gift and the time of his life" the new email had camera inserted after surprise!!!!..

So now we know its someone to whom i had sent the original email..it could be a bloke or a girl..i have a suspicion..but how can i point a finger without being sure..

What wrong did Praveen do to that person? Praveen wouldnt hurt a fly...and i dont think theres anyone who would have a grudge against him...so why would they email? and what an evil SICK minded person would do this to someone you call ur friend...

While they sent this email out..they have stooped sooo low that i hope they would never get up from there...yes i am being a total bitch...but what they did is totally unforgivable!!! I really hope someone or something happens as a payback...!!

NO NO NO

Elishas latest word is NO..one word i expected her to learn...erm...NEVER...

After we got the new Nintendo WII console..she learnt the word YES..thats coz praveen and me would very competively play tennis...and ofcourse with each point my husband would get he would scream YES..[he thinks we r playin wimbeldon or something]...and finally elisha started sayin YES too...worst thing...when i somehow scored a point..she would grunt at the screen...mmmm daddy's supporter through n through

so the other night...praveen n miller were trying the new 'need for speed' game..and ofcourse praveen seemed to be gaining in on miller...and miller was screaming no no no [when miller screams..its blooody loud]...elisha thought it was too funny n learnt it...mmm

now when she wakes up...she says no no no...when i am giving her breaky its no no no...and right now as i am typing this she is going on saying no no no while she is crswling under my feet and trying to get into the wires...yes it sounds cute...but when the only vocabulary she seems to be on right now is no no no..its very frustrating...mmmm

note to myself...musnt abuse when playing on WII..else the next word would be Crap, Shit..what the fuck n so on...fun times begin :)

Miss Elisha is Walkinggg...

Well..the day she turned 11mths we knew our little princess is going to be walking before her 1st bday...and as luck has it...since a week she has been walking NONSTOP..i think she has almost forgotten what its like to crawl...sniff...here are a few picts...

Annie...she came..n now shes gone..

This post should have been posted nearly 2 weeks ago...but the lazy me found lots of reasons...

So my sister Annie was here...well she surprised me..BITCH..i was expecting her...but not 4 days early...well she had to sleep in the guestroom which was thrashed and the toilet was not my standard clean [thats what happens when u decide to surprise me]

One fine night past 8.30pm..Praveen was out..and i was home alone with elisha..suddenly the i hear a knock on the back door...i swear i pee'd and almost vomitted...n then i heard one of my friend saying we better tell her its us else the cops will come...so i opened the door..and there bitch Annie was..i screamttt soooo much that elisha refused to go to her for the next 30 odd minutes..

her visit was the best thing that happened this year.. :) it ws SOOOOOOOO much fun...and moreover Elisha enjoyed it the most...infact i think she got a lot more naughty after she came here..and alot more talkative...bloody hell...

We went to Lindt cafe..oh god if u are a chocolate fan..u would LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEE it..annie and me are chocoholics...annie more than me...it was soooooo damn goood...ofcourse we both ate and drank over 10,000 calories hehehehe...

its been a little over 2 weeks since she left...and we already miss her heaps..infact Elisha sometimes goes into the guest room and still thinks annie is under the quilt covers and babbles away hoping the covers would move and annie would pop out..

Annie we miss u like crazy and want you to come back..SOON..we loveeee u...hugs n kisses...

there was sooo much more i wanted to type...but i cant remember anything..getting old.. :p

Oooopsss...lazy me!!

Yes i know i am lazy...well not lazy per se...but sometimes i barely have time to get online and update whats happening...

Elisha is keeping me busy as hell...

My First Mothers Day!

To all the mothers and grandmothers..Heres wishing you a very happy mothers day!!

My day started at 7am when Miss.Elisha decided to wake me up..i got her into my bed hoping she would doze off but nope..she wanted to play...so after a few minutes trying to wake daddy up and rolling all over me and biting me..i asked praveen to wake up and take her or get her milk...his answer yes in 2 minutes..a few seconds later he started snoring...argh hate it when he does it...so here i was wakin up to my 1st mothers day and my day started terribly...


anyways got her milk and she fell of to sleep and we both slept in till REALL late..heheh..woke up to find elisha giving me a mothers day card...awwwww...and there was the receipt for my new Sewing Machine...YAYYYYY...cant wait for it to be delivered...

wasn't allowed into the kitchen..whew..hehehe...lunch was served...for appetizers it was cheesy nachos with chilly sour cream...main was Egg, Bacon and Spinach in shortcrust pastry and desert was Berry and Creamy Custard on Pastry..oh it was all sooooo divine...and of course there wine..hello its meee!!! :)

Annie n me then relaxed on the couch and watched some FilmFare awards on Youtube [FilmFare is equivalent to Oscars]...then went to church and got back for dinner...which was turkey, egg in white sauce and bread bake...

all in all it was a GREAT day...oh forgot to mention the lovely flowers praveen got me...my favourites..Lillies and Roses :) I couldn't have asked for a better day...

Thank you Elisha and Praveen for making my 1st mothers day soooo memorable!!! I love you both sooo much...

Gluttony..

For those who haven't met Elisha...or seen her when she is eating or when we eat...then you will know her love for food and enjoy this!!!

Elisha will eat her food or drink her milk..and we make sure she is nice and full before either Tomy or me eat..but..this is the best part..She will come and stand next to us and look over our food with this look that says "oohhh i want that"..If this were to happen outside..a stranger would probably be like.."gosh these people don't feed that poor child..look at her cry and yell for food..and look at her eating it with sooo much gusto..mebbe we should call the Child Protection Services.."

So back to my story from today..we went to IKEA..by gods grace she was asleep when Annie and me were drinking our coffee and eating some snacks..by the time we checked out Elisha was wide awake..and then Annie sees Ice cream...that's when hell broke loose..

Elisha wanted to eat the ice cream..How do i know she wants to eat it?? Screaming..trying to jump onto Annie..and this is the besssttt part..She was smacking her lips and Licking her lips..i was in fits of laughter...and she managed to eat a bit of ice cream and half the ice cream cone!!!

Now there is an old saying in India..If you are eating something and the other person's mouth is watering over the food you are eating..then you will end up with Diarrhea!!!...If that saying is true..then Annie is in for big big BIG trouble tomorrow!!!
